Accessibility Statement
Accessibility of this website/application
Universal Music GmbH/Deutsche Grammophon (“Universal Music”) is committed to making its digital products and services accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Enhancement Act (BFSG), which comes into force on 28 June 2025, implementing Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act).
This digital accessibility statement applies to the websites and/or applications of Universal Music.
When was the accessibility statement created?
This statement was created or revised on 1 June 2025.
How accessible is the service?
The benchmark for assessing accessibility is the success criteria of the international standard WCAG 2.1 and the European standard EN 301 549 Version 3.2.1.
Which areas are not accessible?
Evidence of compliance with the requirements is based on the test result dated June 1, 2025. Our websites and applications are tested to the greatest extent possible, including the success criteria of WCAG 2.1.
As part of the review, the following areas were identified as not fully accessible:
- Text alternatives for images, non-text content, or time-based media
- Some color contrast levels may be below the recommended values
- Components, status messages, information, structures, relationships, reading order, link purpose, or input purpose may not always be programmatically determinable
- Text or content may not always be resized up to 200%, rearranged without loss of functionality, or displayed without scrolling in two dimensions
- Some hover or focus states may not yet be implemented
- We are still working on making our products 100% operable by keyboard and single pointer, and there may be components that require standard exit methods to remove focus
- Some time limits and moving content may not be adjustable
- Bypass blocks may not always be available
- Multiple ways to locate webpages may not be available
- Heading and label descriptions may need to be improved or simplified
- Replacement functionality may not be available for motion actuation and dragging movements
- Previously entered information may not be automatically populated
In some cases, audio description options may impair the experience of our products, so this is not always included.
This statement was prepared on June 1, 2025, based on a previous review in accordance with the requirements of the harmonized European standard EN 301 549 (V. 3.2.1).
