Riccardo Chailly and the Concertgebouw add to their ongoing cycle of Mahler symphonies this electrifying performance of the mighty "Symphony of a Thousand".

Joining them for this colossal work is a line-up of international star singers, including today's outstanding Wagnerians Jane Eaglen and Ben Heppner.

Mahler's epic Eighth Symphony can be seen as the crowning achievement of this giant of the symphonic repertoire.
