The Best of Andreas Scholl is an essential collection of 18 tracks featuring the sublime voice of star countertenor Andreas Scholl. Throughout his Decca recording career, Scholl has produced some simply divine performances of opera, oratorio, lute songs, folk songs and sacred music. This CD includes Handel’s Ombra mai fu, Caro Sposa, Dove Sei as well as arias from Guilio Cesare and includes the beautiful Shakespeare song “How Sweet the Moonlight” from the acclaimed Hollywood film "The Merchant of Venice".
