Freire follows that release with his fourth Decca solo album. After two albums of Chopin and one of Schumann this new disc of Beethoven sonatas features another composer who is central to Freire's career.

This album features three of Beethoven's best-loved piano sonatas - Les Adieux, the Waldstein and, perhaps the most popular piano piece of all - the Moonlight sonata.
