TRACKLISTING CD 2 |
RECORDING INFORMATION The French version, produced for Paris in 1774, is much less frequently heard and is the one presented here. The role of Orphée is given to a tenor voice (in the Vienna version it is usually sung by a countertenor or mezzo-soprano) and in this classic recording it is sung by the Quebec-born tenor, Léopold Simoneau, with Belgian soprano Suzanne Danco as Eurydice. |
