RECORDING INFORMATION

Pavarotti & Friends for Cambodia & Tibet is the seventh album in this enormously successful series. Luciano Pavarotti's now internationally famous charity concert in Modena once again delivered what long-time fans and newcomers were looking for - the biggest names in music, in beautiful Italian surroundings, raising significant funds for children's charities.

For Modena 2000, Pavarotti chose to donate proceeds to the international Italian-based charity, Music for Peace, to help needy children from Cambodia and Tibet. The Dalai Lama attended the concert and delivered a millennial message of peace.

This year's guest artists, as ever, "rose to the occasion". When Skunk Anansie and Pavarotti jointly decided to sing the Skunk Anansie song You'll follow me down, the band's vocalist Skin sang in Italian - which may surprise anyone who associates Skunk Anansie with raging guitars and strident left-wing lyrics. Other artists included George Michael, Tracy Chapman, Aqua, Eurythmics, Enrique Iglesias and many others.
