RECORDING INFORMATION

During this, Decca’s 75th anniversary year we are taking the opportunity to reissue a variety of original LP albums with their original cover art. In addition to CLASSIC RECITALS and PHASE 4 reissues we are also inaugurating a mini series of DECCA HERITAGE releases. Six LP releases from 1955 are being reissued as digipack releases. This series will include instrumental and symphonic recordings which have been out of the catalogue for many years or have been overlooked and which are appearing as international CD releases for the first time.

This new mini-series is unashamedly nostalgic and presents original programmes as they were first published in 1955.

“The music is very well played … the Végh Quartet has many fine virtues … ensemble is impeccable…. This is a very fine record in every way.”
Gramophone July 1955
