Wagner Ring on DVD
The great Bayreuth Centenary Ring Cycle under Boulez is now the first internationally available complete Ring Cycle on DVD in glorious stereo surround sound. The enormously well respected, ground-breaking production features an outstanding cast led by great Wagnerians Dame Gwyneth Jones as Brünnhilde and Donald McIntyre as Wotan.

The DVD release of this legendary Bayreuth production of Wagner’s Ring marks a notable first for Philips. Not only has Patrice Chéreau’s once-shocking production acquired the status of the most trenchant modern interpretation of the cycle, but this will be the first ever Ring to appear on DVD Video.
