A voice of power and agility, Miss Horne has excelled both in baroque and classical music, as well as in the more robust 19th century repertoire. Her partnership with Dame Joan Sutherland, captured frequently on Decca, is probably the most famous double-act in the history of opera. Miss Horne is also championing the cause of the ‘art song’ with her own foundation dedicated to young singers and the art form.
