Vai avanti cosi, ti suggerisco di non affrontare il repertorio "spaccavoci" (Trovatore, Otello, Aida, Gioconda, Carmen, Cavalleria & Pagliacci, ad esempio). Sei il migliore tenore del XXI secolo e uno dei miei preferiti in assoluto, assieme a Pavarotti, Schipa, Di Stefano, Del Monaco, Martinelli, Gigli. Last night's "La Fille.." at the MET was a unique thrill. In 35 years of opera, it was my first "encore" aria. Dear Juan Diego: Just had the pleasure of hearing and seeing you in "La Fille . ." on the HDTV telecast of 4/26/08. Your performance was wonderful. I never thought I would live to witness a prolonged standing ovation as we all saw following your performance of "Mes ami . . ." You deserved it. Although I am a bass/baritone, I have always admired the tenor voice. I have two of your recordings and I think I will purchase all the others. Everyone in Phoenix loves you!!

Great performance Saturday 4/26 at the NY Met! You have an outstanding gift. I watched via a high-definition broadcast to a packed theatre in Columbia, Md. (Actually 2 theaters because 1 wasn't big enough.) We applauded even though you couldn't hear us. I like the bel canto operas, but I hadn't seen this one before. Now opera can reach a much larger audience--and the ticket price is right ($20-$22). Everybody loves the behind-the-scenes stuff & the interviews. Good luck with your career!
